Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: January 2026

📜 Eligibility Warranty

By submitting an application on this website, you agree and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age (or an emancipated minor).
  • You are legally eligible for the federal Lifeline program.
  • All information and documentation provided is truthful, accurate, and belongs to you.
  • Providing false or fraudulent information to obtain government benefits is a violation of federal law and may result in fines or imprisonment.

🏠 "One Per Household" Rule

LEGAL WARNING: Federal law limits the Lifeline benefit to one per household. A household is defined as any individual or group of individuals who live together at the same address and share income and expenses.

Violating this rule by attempting to receive multiple benefits at the same address will result in immediate de-enrollment from the program and potential legal penalties by the FCC.

⏱️ The 30-Day Usage Rule

To remain active in the Lifeline program, federal regulations require that you use your service at least once every 30 days. High-speed data, a sent text message, or an outbound call all count as "usage."

If no usage is detected within a 30-day period, you will receive a 15-day notice. If usage is still not detected after the notice period, your service will be terminated for non-usage.

📱 Hardware Ownership

While the monthly service plan is subsidized by the federal Lifeline program, the iPhone provided is part of a separate promotional offer. Ownership of the device transfers to you upon successful activation of the service.

The device is provided "as-is" and is subject to its own manufacturer warranty terms. We are not responsible for accidental damage, loss, or theft of the device once it has been delivered to your address.

🔄 Annual Recertification

You are obligated to respond to the annual government recertification check to maintain your benefits. USAC will verify your eligibility every year. If your eligibility cannot be verified automatically through government databases, you must provide updated documentation upon request. Failure to recertify will result in the loss of your Lifeline benefit.

🛡️ Limitation of Liability

Free Government iPhone and its partners are not liable for any service interruptions, network outages, or hardware failures. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our service or devices.
